Friendship, Tennessee
(Words and Music by JD Tucker)
Well I hitch hiked up that Smokey Mountain Highway
Caught a semi to a thousand miles from here
Dropped me off about a mile from the Skyway
Headed to the city lights with my duffle bag of gear
Saw so many things I only saw on TV
Learned some lessons I could never learn back home
In a funny way it was so crazy
Being with so many folks and feeling all alone
Well I wish I was in Normal, Alabama
I could use some time in Friendship, Tennessee
Because these city lights ain't shining on
A country boy like me
God take me back to where I want to be
I took a yellow cab to a restaurant called Laredo
I spent 40 bucks on a burger and a beer
And late last night I went looking for some comfort
But in the city lights there ain't good loving near
Well I wish I was in OK Oklahoma
I could ease my mind in Friendship, Tennessee
Because these city lights ain't shining on
A country boy like me
God take me back to where I want to be
I spent all my life searching for a place to call my own
It took me years to realize it was
My good old country home
Well I wish I was in Welcome, Carolina
I could use some time in Friendship, Tennessee
Because these city lights ain't shining on
A country boy like me
God take me back to where I want to be
God take me home to Friendship, Tennessee

The Waffle House Song- The Man Who Made Me Smile
(Words and Music JD Tucker)
I was sitting in the Waffle House on Highway 41
She walked in looking like she just stared down a gun
She held a little bag so tight
There were tears in her eyes
You could tell that it was memories
Flowing from her mind
And I said "dear can I talk to you
Is there anything that I can do to comfort you"
She just smiled said "In a while,
I just want to be alone with
The man who made me smile
The man who made me smile"
Well I looked around the restaurant
And she was all alone
She ordered pecan waffles
And turned the jukebox on
When old George sang that
"He Stopped Loving Her Today"
She looked into the bag and said
"Not me, no way"
And I said "dear can I talk to you
Is there anything I can do to comfort you"
Well she just smiled, said "In a while,
I just want to be alone with
The man who made me smile
The man who made me smile"
Well she reached into her bag
And pulled out a mason's jar
And in it were some glasses
And half smoked fat cigar
And a little vile of ashes
She spread on the greasy floor
Then she picked up her bag
And headed for the door
Then she told me the story,
Went something like this
She said he and me
Would come here for breakfast everyday
We ordered pecan waffles
Carried on and played
And he said when I die
Please don't put me in the ground
Just take me to the Waffle House
And spread me all around
And I said "dear may God bless you
Hope he shows you the light and comforts you"
She just smiled, pulled out another vile
She said "I know I'll get by with
The man who made me smile
The man who made me smile"

Greetings from Nashville
(Words and Music JD Tucker)
Greetings from Nashville
Hope you're doing fine
Wish you were here
My spirits are fine
Now it won't be long
Before you hear my songs playing on the radio
And I'll be singing with Porter Waggoner
On the Grand Ole Opry Show
Sometimes it's not so easy
Down on Music Row
But people say they like to hear my songs
Now I know I won't be leaving
Because I know you're all believing
That I'll be singing with Porter Waggoner
On the Grand Ole Opry Show
Greetings from Nashville
I'll make it big on Music Row
Greetings from Nashville
With a little luck I'll mine a pot of gold
I played Monday at the Bluebird
It's where everybody goes
Hoping someone wants to sing one of your songs
I know I have to take a chance
I'm telling everyone I know
I could be singing with Porter Waggoner
On the Grand Ole Opry Show
Greetings from Nashville
I'll make it big on Music Row
Greetings from Nashville
With a little luck I'll mine a pot of gold
Now I know I won't be leaving
Because I know you're all believing
I could be singing with Porter Waggoner
At the Grand Ole Opry
Greetings from Nashville
I made it big on Music Row
Greetings from Nashville
Where a music man can mine a pot of gold
And with a little luck i'll be on the
Grand Ole Opry Show

All My Might

All My Might
(Words and Music JD Tucker)
When I met you I knew we'd stay together
For forever you changed my life
When you said "I do" it came from heaven
For forever you'd be my wife
And when you walked down that aisle
In your gown of white
I loved you with all my might
Yes I loved you with all my might
I remember that look on your face
When you said it wasn't maybe
We're having a baby
Stayed up all night
Now you're teaching her how to be
A perfect lady
Sometimes it's crazy
But it will be all right
And when you rock her to bed
Each and every night
I love you with all my might
Yes i love you with all my might
Sometimes it's not so easy
When we think that we're both right
But when we settle down
We know completely
That everything will be all right
And we'll be loving with all our might
And when the evening comes
And we turn down all the lights
I love you with all my might
You always love me
With all your might
I'll always love you
With all my might

No Winning Losing You
(Words and Music JD Tucker)
Loving you is such a heartache
Sometimes it's hard for me to take
When i'm holding you it feels so right
But then you slam the door and you stay out all night
Here comes the rain and it looks like the end
I should be glad but I can't pretend
Even when you're wrong I feel so blue
But there ain't no winning losing you
And there ain't no comfort in being right
When I'm alone another night
My head says leave but my heart says stay
That's what you do when love gets in the way
Here comes the rain and it looks like the end
I should be glad but I can't pretend
Even when you're wrong I feel so blue
But there ain't no winning losing you
